Drugs, violence and stolen seagulls: Life beside Belfast’s ‘£6.6m crack den’
Residents living beside the Port Building on Annadale Embankment in South Belfast describe years of alleged drug abuse, violence, threats, discarded needles, rats and anti-social behaviour, with some saying they have developed PTSD. One tenant is also accused of feeding and bringing seagulls into an apartment, prompting an animal-welfare report. Clanmil Housing Association says it has taken legal action against seven tenants, four of whom have moved out, while three cases await court hearings. The PSNI says it is investigating the wider anti-social behaviour and removed a seagull from the building, with proactive patrols continuing.

‘I’ve never left a mark on any woman’ – FreedomDad denies attack as police probe video
Police are investigating a video circulated on social media that appears to show Mark Sinclair, known online as FreedomDad, involved in an altercation with a woman in Newtownards. Sinclair denies attacking her, saying she had arrived at his home and that he has never left a mark on a woman. The PSNI confirmed receiving a report and appealed for information about the incident.

One person taken to hospital after Co Down collision - recap
One person was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after a single-vehicle collision near Mayobridge and Hilltown in County Down. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received a 999 call at 8:14 a.m. and dispatched three emergency ambulances and the Charity Air Ambulance. Leode Road and nearby junctions were temporarily closed, but the PSNI later confirmed that the road had reopened.

Goalposts broken as concerns raised over anti-social behaviour at South Belfast pitches
Goalposts at Cairnshill pitches in the Four Winds area of South Belfast were broken following a weekend incident. The damage follows a fire at the changing rooms and damage to a storage container the previous week. Alliance councillor Jamie Harpur condemned the anti-social behaviour, warned that it would affect Newtownbreda FC and its work with young people, and urged anyone with information to report it to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Drunk driver reportedly 'five times over the limit' in Newtownabbey after colliding with wall
A female driver was arrested in Newtownabbey after reportedly crashing into a wall while almost five times over Northern Ireland’s legal drink-driving limit. Police recorded a breath-test reading of 172 and said she would remain in custody pending a court date. No one was injured, with police crediting a report from concerned residents and officers’ prompt response.
