InPost locker user gets Lidl parking ticket
A woman in Beverley received a £90 parking charge after collecting a parcel from an InPost locker at a Lidl car park outside store hours, despite the lockers advertising 24‑hour access. Lidl introduced out‑of‑hours restrictions over anti‑social behaviour concerns, and ParkingEye issued the charge based on time limits. After the woman contacted her MP, Lidl cancelled the charge, citing a genuine mistake. Both Lidl and InPost stressed the need for customers to check site‑specific signage, while local officials called for clearer communication to avoid similar confusion.
