Ipswich lad battles back to set up pizza driveway business
Jacob Butler-Wilce launched JJ's Pizzeria after lockdown prompted him to pursue his passion for Italian-style pizza and address struggles with his mental health. His initial garden-based operation in Chantry was closed following a neighbour's complaint and council concerns about traffic and parking. He then adapted the business into a mobile events service, operating from family driveways with the required permissions, food hygiene rating, certificates and insurance. The business now caters for events, private parties, pubs and nurseries across the area, with Jacob working toward buying a horse box to expand.
