Osprey chicks born on Anglesey for first time, conservationists say
Two osprey chicks have been born and successfully fledged on Anglesey for the first time. The breeding pair, comprising a male from the Glaslyn nest in Wales and a two-year-old female from Scotland, raised the chicks during their first season together. Friends of the Ospreys described the event as a historic milestone, particularly because the female is the youngest osprey known to have successfully bred in Wales. The chicks are preparing to migrate to West Africa and may return to Wales to breed in the coming years.
