Michal Korgul, 39, was jailed for 35 weeks and banned from driving for 40 months after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified, failing to provide a breath specimen, assault by beating and two counts of common assault. He became aggressive toward young Burger King employees at Warminster’s Grenada Services, throwing items and spitting at staff while a child was in his vehicle. Police found him visibly intoxicated as he attempted to drive away and safely returned the child home. Korgul was also ordered to pay £200 in compensation to his victims.

Wiltshire Police released bodycam footage highlighting 663 drink‑driving arrests made in the first half of 2026, showing incidents involving uncooperative motorists, extreme breathalyser readings and crashes across the county. Several drivers expressed surprise at the consequences of their actions, while officers emphasised the risks and frequent fatalities associated with impaired driving. Police urged the public to report suspected drink‑drivers via 101 or 999 in emergencies.
