A new mural in Beebe, Arkansas, spearheaded by community organizer Melba Brackin and painted by art professor Thomas Fernandez and his team, commemorates the city's history. The mural, titled 'Our Town,' features re-creations of archived photos and memorabilia, and is located on the Wilbur D. Mills building. Despite weather delays, the project involved numerous volunteers and support from the city. The mural consists of three panels depicting significant historical elements of Beebe, including the city seal, Old Town Beebe, and the Abbington plantation house.

Saline County residents are invited to explore the new Bryant Junior High School during a Community Expo and Campus Tours event on August 1. The school, which will house eighth- and ninth-graders, features a spacious cafeteria, numerous classrooms and labs, a media center, and athletic spaces. The event aims to familiarize the community with the new facilities and the services available in the Bryant area.
