Man charged with murder after Irish mum-of-three found dead in Australia
Annmarie O'Reilly, a 30-year-old mother of three originally from Clonmel, County Tipperary, was found critically injured at her home in Ferntree Gully near Melbourne and later pronounced dead. Patrick Stokes, 45, who reportedly knew O'Reilly and is also from Ireland, was arrested nearby and charged with murder. He appeared before Melbourne Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody until February 23, 2027. O'Reilly's brother paid tribute to her, while Victoria Police said the parties were known to each other. Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance.
