South Yorkshire Police raided cannabis farms in Doncaster as part of operations that seized nearly £4 million worth of cannabis during the first six months of 2026. Fifteen people were arrested. Police warned that the farms are often connected to organised crime, electricity theft, fire and electrocution risks, violence, and the exploitation of trafficking victims, and urged residents to report signs of cannabis production.

South Yorkshire Police stopped five drivers in Doncaster between 2am and 6am on 18 July after roadside breath tests indicated they were over the legal drink-driving limit. The highest reading was 110 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, more than three times the legal limit of 35. All five drivers were arrested, charged with driving over the legal limit and are due to appear in court. Police urged the public to report suspected drink- or drug-driving.
