The Light Room Ripon launches at former photography studio
The Light Room, a new co-working space in Ripon, has opened at the former Light Room Photography Studio on Queen Street. Ady and Nicola Gray refurbished the premises while preserving the welcoming community atmosphere created by photographer Paul Oldham, who died in May. The space offers flexible desk hire for £20 a day, along with kitchen facilities, a shower and city-centre views, and is aimed at freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote workers and small businesses. Early user Katie Reeves praised the facility, while Ripon BID manager Lilla Bathurst said it helps address clear demand after efforts to establish a permanent local co-working hub failed.
