Mother's horror as her baby's remains are found in a brown paper bag at a Yorkshire funeral home
Jasmine Beverley told Hull Crown Court that her baby son Sunny's remains were found nearly two years after his birth inside a brown paper bag on the floor of Robert Bush's funeral premises. Beverley and her partner had entrusted Legacy Independent Funeral Directors with Sunny's care after he was stillborn, believing he had been cremated and collecting what they were told were his ashes. Four women reportedly received incorrect ashes for their babies. Bush, described in court as a cruel conman who exploited grieving families, has pleaded guilty to 31 additional charges involving the prevention of lawful and decent burial and theft from charities, alongside 36 previously admitted fraud-related offences. The sentencing hearing is continuing and Bush remains in custody.
