I trusted you with the most precious person in my life - heartbroken mum faces funeral director Robert Bush in court
Jasmine Beverley tearfully confronted funeral director Robert Bush at Hull Crown Court, saying she trusted him to care for her stillborn son Sunny. The court heard that Sunny’s remains were discovered nearly two years later in a brown paper bag at Legacy Independent Funeral Directors, despite the family believing he had been cremated and receiving ashes. Beverley was one of four women allegedly given the wrong ashes for their babies. Bush, who had already admitted 36 fraud-related offences, pleaded guilty to a further 31 charges, including preventing the lawful and decent burial of 30 deceased people and stealing from charities. The sentencing hearing is continuing and Bush remains in custody.
