Hollywood Vampires, featuring Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, delivered a loud and theatrical rock performance at Scarborough Open Air Theatre. The set combined the group’s original songs with covers by The Who, Aerosmith, The Velvet Underground, David Bowie, The Doors and AC/DC, while tributes to Jeff Beck added a commemorative element. Special guests The Damned opened with a set of punk classics, making the overall show a colourful, energetic and enjoyable concert.

Holly Johnson, ABC and Heaven 17 delivered a well-received evening of early-1980s-rooted pop at Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Heaven 17 opened with electro-pop classics and a Bowie cover, followed by ABC, effectively led by Martin Fry, who combined Lexicon of Love hits with less frequently performed material. Headliner Holly Johnson performed Frankie Goes to Hollywood songs alongside solo work and covers, ending with “Two Tribes,” “Relax” and an encore of “The Power of Love.”
