Hill faces charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment. Evidence from cellphones, community statements, and crime lab testing on a handgun led to the charges. Raymond Kelly, at 91, became the oldest patient to receive a cochlear implant, which restored his hearing, allowing him to hear his great-granddaughter. Despite his profound deafness and the ineffectiveness of hearing aids, the surgery at St George’s Hospital in London was successful. Consultant surgeon Robert Harris explained the benefits of the new, thinner implant and its safer insertion process.
