Teenager Hrithvik makes Timperley club history with century
Fourteen-year-old Hrithvik Prakash made Timperley Cricket Club history by scoring 110 for the second team, including 15 fours, although Timperley lost to Brooklands after its total of 270 was chased with four balls remaining. Joe Clark took 4-48, but captain Shahnawaz Khan said six dropped catches cost Timperley victory. Matt Wardle’s unbeaten 98, including 11 fours, helped Timperley Cricket Club’s second team defeat Cheadle and return to winning ways. Cheadle scored 248-8 after Shahnawaz Khan took 3-49, but Wardle’s innings secured the result for Timperley. The club’s first team suffered another narrow defeat at Cheadle despite Zach Thompson’s 74 and Chris Page’s four wickets. Timperley CC batsman Felix Birtles hits 136 not out
Felix Birtles scored an unbeaten 136 for Timperley Cricket Club's third XI, helping them post 313 and defeat Oulton Park after being dropped from the second team.
