Early estimates indicate that gross value added from included DCMS sectors increased by around 2% between the three months to March 2026 and the three months to June 2026, compared with 0.4% growth for the UK economy overall. DCMS-sector GVA was around 20% above its level in the three months to June 2019, versus 7% growth for the wider UK economy. The estimates cover civil society, creative industries, culture, gambling and sport, but exclude monthly tourism GVA. They are seasonally adjusted, expressed in 2023 prices and intended to show broad trends rather than provide definitive monthly or sector-specific measurements.
