Dr. Colin Campbell

Dr. Colin Campbell is a journalist based in Washington, United States of America.

Colin Campbell, Ph.D., is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Campbell is also the Editor-In-Chief of the Sphinx Magazine. As the communications director for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. headquarters, Dr. Campbell’s responsibilities include managing and directing internal and external communications, supervising public relations staff, creating communication strategies, and serving as a spokesperson and media contact for the organization.

Dr. Campbell is also an Edward Bouchet scholar whose research focuses on narrow artificial intelligence, the use of algorithms and their usage in journalism. His work has been featured at Yale University. Dr. Campbell’s other research areas include cultural studies analyzing disparities that persist in America’s media landscape and the country’s socioeconomic structures. His professional experience includes being a professor at Howard University, American University, and other colleges and universities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Dr. Campbell is also an award-winning journalist. His background in journalism started out as a TV reporter and then as a TV correspondent affiliated with several international networks. He has covered the Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations as well as the Occupy movement, the State Department and Congress.
