I am a freelance journalist based in Tripoli, Libya, working in Arabic. I focus on underreported and overlooked issues such as disability rights, environmental awareness, public education, and fact-checking. I produce human stories and short documentaries that reflect the real lives and voices of people in Libya, told in a sincere and grounded style. I welcome collaboration with media platforms and organizations that believe in journalism as a tool for social impact and positive change.
Portfólio
As part of my documentary series “Stories on the Shelf,” I produced and presented an episode about Rawahil Foundation for Human Development. The episode explores the foundation’s role in empowering youth, developing their leadership skills, and inspiring positive change in Libyan society. It features personal stories and initiatives that reflect the foundation’s grassroots impact.
“Stories on the Shelf” is a self-produced series I created to highlight untold and inspiring human stories from Libya, using a simple, authentic, and community-focused documentary style.
As part of my awareness-driven program “What Are We Missing?”, I presented an episode focusing on the state of the healthcare system in Libya. The episode sheds light on key challenges faced by citizens — from poor hospital infrastructure to inadequate medical services. The aim was to raise awareness and encourage public dialogue about the urgent need for reform and equitable access to quality healthcare.
As part of my commitment to accurate journalism and social responsibility, I produced a documentary episode that tackles misinformation and disinformation in Libya. The episode explores how false information spreads on social media, its impact on public perception, and the importance of fact-checking and media literacy. The goal was to raise awareness among the public and encourage critical thinking in consuming news and online content.
