Horror as 14-Year-Old Boy Dies After Doctors Allegedly Send Him Home with Painkillers
Fourteen-year-old Max Hall from Corby, Northamptonshire, died after being diagnosed with an untreatable stage 4 high-grade glioma. His family said he had suffered persistent headaches for more than a year, which they alleged were dismissed as teenage migraines and treated with painkillers before he suffered a seizure and was placed on life support. Max's family, school and football organisations paid tribute to him, while his mother Jackie called for increased funding for brain tumour research. Kettering General Hospital was approached for comment.

Grandad, 78, facing trial after feeding the birds
A 78‑year‑old Hartlepool man, previously fined for feeding birds, faces a crown court trial for allegedly breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order prohibiting him from leaving food in public spaces. Prosecutors accuse him of putting food out on Green Street in February, leading to a jury trial scheduled for August next year. Authorities argue that excessive feeding contributed to vermin problems, and a conviction could carry a prison sentence. He has been granted unconditional bail.
