John Lewis makes major change amid £800m investment
John Lewis is investing £800 million across its 36 UK stores and is relaunching its sports and wellbeing departments as part of the programme. New departments will combine sportswear, footwear, wearable technology, recovery products, home fitness equipment and expert services, with locations in Oxford Street, Liverpool, Cheadle and Glasgow among those involved. The initiative is intended to help John Lewis compete with sportswear retailers such as Sports Direct and technology specialists, while offering services including free gait analysis and a broader fitness-focused shopping experience.
