Dragons' Den star loses £200,000 appeal after King strips MBE
Entrepreneur Julie Meyer lost a Court of Appeal challenge against a suspended prison sentence imposed after she was found in contempt of court in a £200,000 dispute involving Farrer & Co. The court rejected her procedural objections and upheld the finding that she had deliberately and cynically breached orders requiring financial disclosure and attendance at debtor questioning. Meyer later forfeited her MBE, awarded in 2012, after the Honours Forfeiture Committee said she had brought the honours system into disrepute.
