Man who accused Andy Burnham of ‘protecting paedophiles’ threatened to bomb Greater Manchester Police HQ and town hall, court hears
A man from Greater Manchester received a 15‑month community order after admitting to sending bomb threats and menacing messages to politicians, legal professionals and others during a period of mental health relapse. He targeted Greater Manchester Police headquarters and issued threats to MPs Rebecca Long-Bailey and Robert Buckland, a district judge, and representatives of local organisations. The court heard he had been sectioned following his arrest, and the judge imposed rehabilitation, mental health treatment and restraining orders lasting seven years.
