I sold my household belongings to feed my addiction - my kids would ask me where stuff had gone
A mother from Gloucester recounts her long-term cocaine addiction that consumed up to £1,500 a month, pushed her into significant debt, and led her to secretly sell household belongings while hiding her drug use from her children and family. Her dependency escalated to daily use and strained her career and relationships, but after a turning point in May last year, she committed herself to recovery through self‑help resources. She now shares her experiences on social media under the platform Addiction2Advocate to support others struggling with addiction.
