A body was found inside a black car discovered in undergrowth below an embankment near the A172 and A19 in North Yorkshire. Police believe the deceased is Tracey Smith, who had been missing from the Stokesley area since 24 July, although formal identification had not yet taken place. The road was closed while investigators examined the scene and recovered the vehicle, and police opened an investigation into how the car left the road.
