A survey of 2,000 UK adults found that one in 10 has not taken a bath in more than a decade, while 51% believe baths have become outdated and 48% prefer showers. One in five people have removed a bath to create more shower space, modernise their bathroom or install a walk-in shower. Water conservation, cost concerns and lack of time are major reasons for the shift, with most respondents taking steps to reduce water use and believing shorter showers can lower household bills. Utilita, which commissioned the research, recommends limiting showers to four minutes and monitoring water consumption.

Research commissioned by Lovehoney shows that many Britons suppress sexual noises due to embarrassment, with younger adults reporting the most self‑consciousness. The campaign 'Strawberries & Scream' aims to reduce stigma by linking vocalisation in sex to its accepted role in sports, highlighted through a Wimbledon‑themed activation. Experts note that authentic vocal sounds can enhance physical performance in both tennis and intimacy by increasing muscle contractions and stimulating nerve pathways. Studies also show that most people enjoy sex more when both partners are vocal.
