A poll of 2,000 UK adults found that one in ten have not taken a bath in more than a decade, while nearly half now prefer showers and 18% do not have a bath at home. Bathroom renovations commonly remove baths to create larger or walk-in shower spaces, modernise rooms or reduce water use. Most respondents said they actively conserve water, and many believe shorter showers or replacing baths with showers can lower water bills. Utilita recommends limiting showers to four minutes and using other practical water-saving measures.
