Ann Widdecombe was hit on head repeatedly with hammer, court hears
Prosecutors told Westminster Magistrates' Court that former MP Ann Widdecombe died after being struck on the head 21 times with a hammer at her Devon home. Joshua Kerry has been charged with her murder and is accused of entering her house briefly, attacking her, and stealing a wallet before leaving. Widdecombe was discovered the following day after failing to attend a scheduled online interview. A provisional cause of death was given as blunt force head injury, and Kerry appeared in court to confirm his identity.
