Liverpool welcomes new Super League Basketball team
Super League Basketball has launched Liverpool Basketball as its 10th franchise, with the team set to enter the 2026–27 season at M&S Bank Arena. Owned by Jason Dolan's Kings Dock Sports Group, the club aims to compete at a high level while generating economic, cultural and community benefits. Liverpool and regional officials, venue representatives and business leaders welcomed the investment, citing job creation, visitor-economy growth and opportunities for young people. The club is expected to announce its branding, leadership, coaching staff, roster, partnerships and community programme in the coming weeks.
