Amanda David

Amanda David, or Amanda Chioma David, professionally known as Ermandha, is an internationally accredited journalist, TV Presenter, documentary film producer, director, and media executive with a legal background. 

Based in Lagos, Nigeria, she operates at the intersection of media, technology, and law. She is a pioneer of "Media Architecture," specializing in designing structural frameworks and legal protocols for the creative economy.

A member and ally of the Documentary Film Council (UK), Ermandha has extensive experience covering global cultural milestones and premier festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sheffield Documentary Festival, Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), AMVCA, and AFRIMA. Her journalistic portfolio spans virtually every major comedy, art, fashion, music, and tech event in Lagos, including the US-Nigeria AI Conference. Additionally, she is a certified digital cybersecurity journalist, having produced and documented critical industry summits like the BOFIRM and CCISONFI Conference 2025.

As an executive and creative infrastructure builder, Ermandha serves as the Business and Partnership Manager for Blackdrum 360 (Blackdrum TV). She is the founder of Rara Avis Entertainment, which organizes Rara Avis Debut Award and INDIEVERSE. 

She is an Executive Board Member of the Africa International Comedy Festival and the Head of Media for The Humour Awards—an institution dedicated to awarding and developing all aspects of humor, including film, art, animation, and drama series. She also hosted the official Special Edition Podcast for the awards' 4th Edition, themed "Create Your Chance". 

Beyond her executive roles, she brings a versatile performance and literary edge to the industry as an actor, singer, and voiceover artist, with a creative portfolio that includes unpublished poems and an upcoming book titled 'The Red Carpet Host'.
