A single GEFS model run has projected an extreme but highly unlikely 45°C temperature in parts of southeast England. Multiple forecasting models nevertheless indicate a genuine heat surge, with Birmingham and the wider West Midlands expected to see dry, sunny conditions and temperatures around 29–31°C early in the week, alongside warm, muggy nights. The Met Office and BBC forecast very warm weather across central and southern England, potentially producing another official heatwave, while noting that the 45°C figure is an extreme outlier. The UK temperature record is 40.3°C, set in July 2022, when Birmingham Airport reached 38.1°C.

Weather models project UK temperatures above 30C for more than two weeks, with peaks reaching 35C to 37C across counties in England and Wales. Forecasts indicate widespread heat across central, southern and western regions, with northern England also expected to exceed 30C on some days.
