British tourist, 34, dies in Zante after beachgoers watch in horror as he gets into difficulty in water
A 34-year-old British tourist died after getting into difficulty while swimming near Marathonisi, off Zakynthos, Greece. Beachgoers helped bring him ashore, where CPR was performed before he was taken by patrol boat and then transported to Zakynthos General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Zakynthos Port Authority has begun a preliminary investigation.
