EF-1 tornado confirmed in southern Perry County on Sunday
An EF-1 tornado with estimated peak winds of 100 mph touched down in southern Perry County, damaging wooded areas along Lamb’s Gap Road but causing no injuries. The National Weather Service reported the tornado was on the ground for four minutes, traveling 0.55 miles and reaching up to 300 yards in width. Survey crews observed numerous uprooted and broken trees, with the most significant damage near the State Game Lands. Findings remain preliminary pending final NWS review.
