St Thomas Care Home Celebrated National Ice Cream Day
Residents and staff at Barchester Healthcare’s St Thomas Care Home in Basingstoke celebrated National Ice Cream Day on July 20 by creating personalized sundaes with assorted flavours and toppings. Head chef Darren led the activity, while general manager Jenny Rafemoyo said both residents and staff enjoyed the occasion. The care home provides dementia, respite and long-term care for up to 67 residents.

Limitless event will return to War Memorial Park on July 25
Limitless, a free high-energy event organised and funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, will return to War Memorial Park in Basingstoke on July 25 from 11am to 5pm. The programme includes skateboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, slacklining, parkour, BMX, graffiti and DJ workshops, with activities aimed particularly at teenagers and young adults.

Supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the guide explains typical costs, savings and installation, estimating an investment of about £6,000 for a standard three-bedroom home, and includes a free tool to calculate panel requirements and expected savings.
