Distance Education in Palestine Between the Promise of Change and Reality
Distance education in Palestine has failed to meet expectations and has contributed to learning loss because of a severe digital and social divide, poverty, inadequate household learning environments, inconsistent policy decisions and weak teacher training. The article argues that authorities adopted platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams without sufficient preparation, accountability systems or appropriately redesigned curricula. Treating students of different ages and circumstances alike, while shifting substantial responsibility to families, has particularly harmed younger pupils and disadvantaged rural, Bedouin and low-income communities. The author calls for a national education rescue plan focused first on closing the digital divide, rebuilding curricula around interaction, self-directed learning and individualized instruction, strengthening oversight and assigning reforms to qualified specialists.

In the secrets of the alphabet
A reflective poetic text interwoven with a quotation from Ibn Arabi explores themes of love, language, mysticism, and existential longing. Through shifting imagery and metaphors, the narrator presents the beloved as a source of meaning, inspiration, and transcendence, contrasting philosophical inquiry with the immediacy of emotional and spiritual experience. The poem meditates on creation, desire, and the shaping power of language while portraying an intimate, evolving relationship that transcends ordinary boundaries.
