Russia says seven killed and 40 injured by Ukrainian drone hitting busy beach
A drone struck a crowded beach near Arkhipo-Osipovka in Russia’s Krasnodar region, killing seven people, including three children, and injuring 40; 17 were hospitalized. Regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting civilians, but Ukraine has not commented, and the drone’s intended target remains unclear. Eyewitnesses reported gunfire before the explosion, while Ukrainian channels suggested electronic warfare may have caused the crash. The incident comes amid increasingly deep Ukrainian strikes inside Russia, including attacks on Wildberries warehouses, alongside continued Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian cities that have caused extensive civilian casualties.
