A 1955 photograph shows a large gap in Weymouth’s High Street created by the demolition of buildings numbered 15 to 23. The remaining wall of the former Coffee Tavern is visible, and a later structure from the 1990s Jehovah’s Witnesses’ occupancy once stood on part of the site. Nearby houses on Chapelhay Street remained intact at the time, offering elevated views before their eventual demolition, after which traces like a threshold became visible in the replacement wall.

Old photographs show a 1969 Morris Traveller overturned at a busy junction in Weymouth, drawing attention from bystanders as emergency services arrived to recover the vehicle and clear the scene.
