Police officer charged after horror crash kills 16-year-old boy
A 31-year-old off-duty Bedfordshire Police officer, Daniel Cartwright, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a September collision in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, that killed 16-year-old Ryley Hutson. Police confirmed that Hutson’s family has been kept informed as the case progresses. Cartwright is scheduled to appear before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on August 6. Tributes from Hutson’s relatives described him as full of life and deeply loved.
