Axel Rudakubana, who received a life sentence with a 52-year minimum term for murdering three children and attempting to murder eight other children and two adults at a Southport dance class, has been transferred from prison to Broadmoor psychiatric hospital. The Ministry of Justice said the move does not alter his sentence. Chris Walker, a lawyer for the victims’ families, said they viewed the timing—shortly before the attack’s second anniversary—as another possible attempt by Rudakubana to manipulate the system and are seeking clarification from authorities.
