Two men died after entering the sea at Seaton Carew in Hartlepool to assist two children who had gotten into difficulty. The children were taken to hospital and are safe. RNLI crews recovered the men, but they were pronounced dead shortly afterward despite emergency treatment. Cleveland Police stated the deaths are not considered suspicious and will be reviewed by the coroner, while urging the public to avoid entering open water due to safety risks.
