A bus collided with a cherry picker on Baird Street near Buchanan Bus Station and Glasgow Caledonian University at about 12:40 p.m. on August 18. The worker operating from the cherry picker’s elevated platform was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital; police did not release details about the person’s condition. First Bus said no passengers or the driver were reported injured and that it is assisting Police Scotland’s investigation. The Scottish Ambulance Service dispatched an ambulance, critical care team and special operations response team.
