A warehouse on Stour Road in Harwich was destroyed and its main structure collapsed after a fire broke out at 3:36 a.m. Smoke spread across Essex and into Suffolk. Around 35 firefighters attended, and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service later reported that the blaze was under control while crews reduced resources and worked to reopen roads. Local councillor Ivan Henderson praised the emergency response and community support, including assistance from the Salvation Army, while residents described intense flames, ash and fear. Premier Labelling and its employees were identified as among those severely affected.
