Station Road, Harrow-on-the-Hill block of flats approved
Harrow Council approved Quintas Homes’ plan to demolish the Smokey Fridays restaurant at 382–384 Station Road and construct a seven-storey building with 12 flats and ground-floor commercial space. The proposal faced objections over its height, the absence of affordable housing and potential noise conflicts with nearby late-night businesses, including Trinity Bar. A noise assessment proposed acoustic glazing, mechanical ventilation and internal layout measures, while viability assessments concluded that affordable housing could not be provided. The application passed on a split vote, with five Conservative committee members supporting it and two Labour members opposing it.
