“Deeply tragic” Wembley stabbing at Brent Civic Centre has “shaken” the borough, says council leader
A fatal stabbing at Brent Civic Centre in Wembley has prompted a murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police. The victim, believed to be a teenage boy or a man in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene, and no arrests have been made. The Civic Centre has been evacuated and closed, while a Section 60 order grants police enhanced stop-and-search powers across several Brent wards. Police said there is no wider threat to the community and no indication that the incident was terror-related. Brent Council leaders and local councillors expressed sympathy for the victim’s family and urged residents not to speculate or interfere with the investigation.
