The North Wales coastal town by area that 'looks straight out of Alien movie'
Amlwch on Anglesey is highlighted as a distinctive North Wales destination because of its proximity to the rust-red, otherworldly landscape of former copper mine Parys Mountain. Visitors can explore the free Parys Mountain Heritage Trail, walk the Anglesey Coastal Path from Amlwch Port to Moelfre, and visit nearby Bull Bay for fishing, diving and snorkelling. The town also offers cafes and restaurants, while a £10.4 million redevelopment of the former Marine Terminal Building is expected to create new waterfront commercial space.
