Pet food banks in Wiltshire and Bath are experiencing reduced donations as the cost-of-living crisis makes pet food more expensive. Salisbury Foodbank says some owners, particularly older people, are prioritising feeding their animals over paying bills or feeding themselves. Pet owner Vicki Bye describes how a food bank helped her keep her pets during a period of severe financial hardship, and she now fundraises for it. Bath Cats and Dogs Home has also reported lower dog-food donations while continuing to pass surplus supplies to food banks.
