A man was arrested at the scene following an alleged assault outside the Plough and Sail pub on London Road South in Lowestoft at about 11 p.m. on July 25. He was arrested on suspicion of common assault and bailed until September 30 while Suffolk Police continue their investigation. An eyewitness said the incident began after people tried to help an intoxicated woman.

Suffolk Constabulary has ended its investigation into five people who allegedly left Lowestoft Tandoori in Lowestoft without paying a bill of more than £200 on July 2. CCTV showed the group leaving the restaurant and driving away in a white car.
