Fashion chain shuts all UK stores months after Norfolk closure
LK Bennett has closed all of its remaining UK stores and concessions after entering administration on January 27. Its Norwich concession at Jarrolds had already closed in April, leaving the retailer without a Norfolk presence. The brand and intellectual property were sold to a company affiliated with Gordon Brothers, but the deal excluded the physical shops and concessions; faster-than-expected stock sales led to earlier closures than administrators had anticipated.

Brewers Fayre to shut all of its Norfolk restaurants
Brewers Fayre will close all 89 of its sites on September 7, including locations in King's Lynn and near Norwich Airport. The closures form part of parent company Whitbread's five-year plan to cut £250 million in costs through site sales, hotel conversions and property disposals. Closures of Whitbread's Bar + Block and Beefeater brands are also planned, with about 3,800 jobs expected to be lost, although the company says it aims to redeploy many affected employees. Whitbread attributed the decision to significant cost increases, including higher National Insurance and business rates.
