Man dies after falling from Edinburgh's Harvey Nichols building
A man died after falling from the fourth floor of the Harvey Nichols department store at St Andrew Square in Edinburgh on 19 August 2026. Police and ambulance crews attended around 11:35 a.m., but the man was pronounced dead shortly afterward. The pavement outside the store was cordoned off, while the main road remained open but restricted to one lane; Police Scotland said enquiries were ongoing.

Fringe Society launches strategic review after claims it has lost sight of its purpose

Man jailed after attempted rape of woman in Edinburgh city centre
