Antiques Roadshow Guest Rejects Selling 'Titanic Letter'
The children of Titanic survivor Sidney Daniels appeared on Antiques Roadshow with a letter their father carried in his uniform pocket when the ship sank in 1912. Daniels had worked as a plate washer, helped passengers reach the lifeboats, and escaped by swimming to an overturned life raft. Expert Hilary Kay valued the letter at approximately £10,000, but the family declined to sell it and instead intended to donate it to a museum.
