Britto Lorence was sentenced at Newcastle Magistrates' Court to an 18-month community order, including 150 hours of unpaid work, after pleading guilty to outraging public decency on an Emirates flight from Dubai to Newcastle. The court heard that he performed a sex act under a blanket beside a woman and her young son, leaving the woman deeply distressed. Judge Kate Meek refused to allow Lorence to withdraw his guilty plea and ordered him to pay £914 in costs and a victim surcharge.

Police attended a car boot sale off Otley Old Road in Bramhope after a baby was reportedly found alone and strapped into a car seat inside a hot car. Content creator Jody Lloyd-Francis said the child had no adult, water or milk nearby, while staff attempted to locate the parents before officers arrived.
