Thirty years ago, Barry Town overturned a 3-1 first-leg deficit against Hungary's Budapest Vasutas Sport Club by winning the second leg 3-1 at Jenner Park and advancing 4-2 on penalties. Chris Pike, Dave O'Gorman and Craig Evans scored for Barry, while all four of Barry's penalty takers converted. BVSC's Gjorgy Bognar missed and Barry goalkeeper Pat Mountain saved Zoltan Bukszegi's attempt, sending Barry into the UEFA Cup first round against Aberdeen.
